CS Scheduling App

This app’s purpose is to assist the user in creating the Michigan Tech College of Computing’s class schedule by determining acceptable times, locations, and instructors for each course in the department.

It is currently difficult as the old existing software no longer works well and a lot of the process is done manually on paper. The software should allow easy overview and editing of the schedule. It should also bring potential issues with the schedule to the user’s attention, such as a professor teaching 2 classes at the same time, or 2 required classes being taught at the same time. The courses in the schedule as well as the conflicts that the system looks for should be editable and overridable by the user, not hard coded. When the schedule is done, it would be good to have some sort of output such as a PDF that can be shared or printed. Users should be able to add simple restrictions to the schedule that would warn the user of conflicts. Users are also able to view schedules of prior semesters easily.
