Firewall/router:

            Location: closet in the front of the room

            Ip: 192.168.100.1

            Allow: http traffic (port 80) and dns query (port 53) to go out to internet  

Fedora installation server:

            192.168.100.2

Solaris installation server:

            192.168.100.3 ( not up running yet)

 

Printer:

            192.168.100.10 (print the configuration)

 

Switches:

              192.168.100.11-192.168.100.16 (see Label)

              password: none

 

PCs with Linux:

            Reserved IP range:192.168.100.51 – 192.168.100.100

            OS: Fedora core 10

            Names: pc# ( pc1, pc2, … ) with IP of pc# is 192.168.100.(50+#)

            File system layout:

                               

Sparcs running Solaris:

            Reserved IP range  192.168.100.101-192.168.100.120

            Name:

            OS: Solaris 10 release sparcs

            Names: solaris# ( solaris1, solaris2, … ) with IP of sun# is 192.168.100.(100+#)

            File system layout:    

                        / 4G

                        Swap default

                        /export/home 2000M

 

PCs running Solaris:

             Reserved IP range 192.168.100.121-192.168.100.140

            OS: Solaris 10 release x86  

 

Initially

            The DNS servers are 141.219.152.253, 141.219.152.254

Root password is rekhi215

 

Network topology

            All PCs and Suns including the printer that cs3451 uses are all in one subnet connected via switches.

            Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

            Default router: 192.168.100.1

 

All the IP/Name should be labeled clearly by SAs before the semester starts.
