Group Project Requirements



Project Description

You are required to give a group presentation on a topic related to what we are discussing this semester. Groups should consist of at least 3 members. You can select your own group members and topics, subject to my approval. Presentations will be scheduled after Spring Break.

Schedule

March 3 Topic and group members approved and presentation date determined
March 22 Initial list of resources and abstract of presentation due. Resources must include some articles that are from peer-reviewed publications that appear in print (not just on the web).
1 day after presentation     Written support of project due

Grading

An overall grade for the project will be determined roughly according to the following percentages.

Presentation: 20%
Content: 60%
Integrity 10%
Written support 10%

Presentation -- includes clarity, interest, etc.

Content -- includes relevance and technical accuracy.

Integrity -- is it one project or a group of individual projects?

Written support -- include an outline of the presentation, a description of how the project was distributed across team members, a list of references, and evaluations by each team member of the other team members.

Each individual's grade will be determined by estimating his or her contribution to the overall grade.
